This tour takes you to Pushkar in Rajasthan for our Holi Special tour. This tour isn't just a sightseeing trip; it is an entry into the heart of India's most vibrant Holi. From the ritualistic Holika Dahan at Varah Ghat to the massive DJ parties at the Mela Ground, we ensure you experience the "real" Pushkar Holi in a safe, curated group environment.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 (March 1): The Holi Express Meet your "tribe" at Bandra Terminus. Board the BDTS AII SF SPL (09654) or DDR AJMER SF EXP (12989). Overnight train journey filled with ice-breakers and festive bonding.

  • Day 2 (March 2): Arrival & Kishangarh "Moonland" Arrive in Ajmer/Pushkar by morning. Check-in to your resort. Visit the Kishangarh Marble Dumping Yard (the "White Desert" of Rajasthan) for an epic photoshoot. Evening visit to the Brahma Temple and sunset at Pushkar Lake.

  • Day 3 (March 3): Holika Dahan & Warm-up Party Explore the local hippie markets and Savitri Mata Temple (via ropeway). In the evening, witness the grand Holika Dahan at Varah Ghat. The streets come alive with folk music and spontaneous dancing.

  • Day 4 (March 4): THE MAIN HOLI DAY The big day! Head to the Mela Ground or the central square for the main celebration. Expect massive speakers, organic colors, and the famous "Kapda Faad" (shirt-tearing) tradition. After the street madness, return to the resort for a Pool Party and DJ night.

  • Day 5 (March 5): Ajmer Sharif & Return Visit the Ajmer Sharif Dargah to seek blessings. Head to the station to board your return train. Reach Mumbai by noon on Day 6.

Important Points to Note
  • While locals tear shirts in the main square, this is a male-centric tradition. Women are 100% safe and usually watch or participate from a distance/rooftop cafes under the protection of tour leads and local police.
  • Wear old white clothes you plan to discard. Apply a heavy layer of coconut oil on your hair and skin before heading out to make color removal easier.
  • Carry a waterproof mobile pouch. The "rain dance" and water buckets are unavoidable in the main streets.
  • Pushkar is a holy city; alcohol and non-veg food are officially prohibited in the town limits. However, special "Lassis" are common consume responsibly!

Rules and Policies

At Mumbai Travel Club (MTC), we plan our treks and backpacking trips months in advance to ensure a seamless experience for you. When a participant cancels at the last minute, it impacts our arrangements with local guides, transport providers, and homestay owners. To maintain fairness for both our travelers and our local partners, we follow the policy outlined below.

Cancellation Policy

Refunds are calculated based on the Total Trip Cost and the time we receive your formal cancellation request via email.

  • 30+ Days: 100% Refund to your account. 
  • 21 to 30 Days: 75% Cash Refund OR 90% MTC Credit Note
  • 14 to 21 Days: 50% Cash Refund OR 70% MTC Credit Note
  • 7 to 14 Days: 25% Cash Refund OR 40% MTC Credit Note
  • Less than 7 Days / No Show: No Refund & No Credit Note

Note: If you have paid only partial advance , no refund will be provided as its a non-refundable token amount. All percentages mentioned above apply only if you have made full payment of the tour amount. Approved refunds are credited within 7 working days to your account.

  • Advance Booking Amount: The initial deposit/booking amount is non-refundable. It covers immediate administrative costs and non-refundable permits.
  • Calculation Base: Refund percentages are calculated on the total tour cost. If you have only made a partial payment, the cancellation fee still applies to the full value of the trip.

Participant Replacements & Transfers

We understand that plans change. If you cannot attend, we offer the following flexibility:

  • Ticket Transfer: You may transfer your seat to another person (friend/family) for the same event at no extra charge, provided you notify us at least 24 hours before departure.
  • Rescheduling: Requests to change your date are treated as a cancellation of the original booking. Standard cancellation charges will apply, and the remaining balance can be moved to a new date.

If Mumbai Travel Club Cancels the Trip

  • Minimum Batch Size: Most of our trips require a minimum of 12–14 travelers. If we do not meet this requirement, MTC reserves the right to cancel the trip.
  • Refund Options: In such cases, participants can choose a 100% Monetary Refund or move the full amount to any other upcoming event.
  • Scope: Only the "Trip Amount" paid to MTC is refundable. We are not liable for any third-party costs like personal flight or train tickets you may have booked at your end.

Weather, Natural Calamities & External Factors

Safety is our absolute priority. Nature is unpredictable, and we have the following protocols:

  • Before Departure: If a trip is cancelled due to heavy rain, landslides, floods, or government-imposed restrictions, the standard cancellation policy applies. This is because funds are already committed to transport and local stay vendors.
  • During the Trip: If an itinerary is modified or a specific destination is skipped due to sudden weather changes, road blocks, or vehicle breakdowns, no refund or compensation will be provided.
  • Alternate Activities: We will always attempt to provide a feasible alternate activity, but no refunds are applicable if the original plan is altered due to safety concerns.

Important Terms & Conditions

  • No Show: No refund will be provided if a participant misses the bus/train pickup or fails to reach the meeting point at the scheduled time.
  • Official Cancellation Channel: We only accept cancellation requests via Email. Requests sent via WhatsApp, SMS, or Phone Call will not be considered valid.
  • Third-Party Deductions: Any non-refundable costs already incurred (e.g., forest permits, pre-booked train/bus tickets, or stay charges) will be deducted before calculating the final refund.
  • Refund Processing: All approved monetary refunds will be processed within 5-7 working days.
