Kas Plateau, officially known as Kaas Pathar and Kaas Plateau, is a basalt plateau located approximately 25 kilometres west of Satara city in Maharashtra. It was formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity. In 2012, Kaas became part of the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site network due to its exceptional biodiversity, housing hundreds of species of wild flowering plants, orchids, and carnivorous flora.
During the late monsoon season, Kas transforms into Maharashtra’s Valley of Flowers. Because the plateau is roughly 280 kilometres from Mumbai, reaching it for early morning exploration requires an overnight road journey. A well-planned group tour handles the late-night transit, forest department permits, regional meals, and entry logistics, allowing you to spend adequate time walking the demarcated trails before daytime heat and crowds arrive.

- 06:30 AM: Arrive at the base village near Kas Plateau.
- 06:30 AM – 07:30 AM: Freshen up in common changing facilities and enjoy a traditional breakfast with hot tea.
- 07:30 AM: Short briefing and orientation on forest department rules and trail etiquette.
- 07:50 AM – 11:30 AM: Enter Kas Plateau. Walk along designated paths to observe seasonal flower beds, endemic species, and insect life. Proceed to view Kumudini Lake.
- 12:00 PM – 02:00 PM: Head to restaurant for an authentic Maharashtrian veg lunch.
- 03:00 PM: Board the bus and begin the return journey to Mumbai.
- 10:30 PM – 11:30 PM: Approximate arrival time back in Mumbai (subject to Pune-Mumbai expressway traffic).
- Aadhaar Card / Driving Licence / Passport (original or clear digital copy for forest checkposts).
- Sturdy walking shoes or hiking sandals with deep rubber grip. Avoid heels, formal shoes, or smooth-soled flip-flops.
- Full-length lightweight pants and full-sleeve t-shirts (protects against sun and minor brush scratches). Carry a windcheater or light rain jacket in case of passing showers.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
- 90% refund if canceled at least 15 days (360+ hours) before the event.
- 75% refund if canceled at least 10 days (240+ hours) before the event.
- 50% refund if canceled at least 5 days (120+ hours) before the event.

No refund if canceled less than 5 days (under 120 hours) before the event date and time.
No refund will be provided if a participant:
- Chooses to drop out,
- Fails to reach the meeting point at the scheduled date and time.
If the event is canceled by the organizers, participants may either:
- Transfer their booking to another event or date, or
- Opt for a 100% refund.
Rescheduling Policy
- Rescheduling is free of charge if requested at least 120 hours prior to the event.
- Requests made within 120 hours of the event will be treated as cancellations under the applicable refund policy.
We kindly request participants to respect the cancellation timelines. The purpose of this policy is to protect both participants and organizers from financial losses due to unforeseen circumstances.
If the event is canceled due to a medical or personal emergency within the organizing team, participants will not incur any financial loss. Similarly, in case of a medical or personal emergency on the participant’s end, the organizers are protected from financial loss under the above policy.
